The well-known ERGOPLUS MIG torch has been updated to new standards. In addition to the new ergonomic design, significant improvements have been made to the welding performance of the ERGOPLUS MIG gun.

Ergonomics
The handle of the new ERGOPLUS is made of two parts, rubber and plastic. The rubber textures are on the top and bottom of the grip surfaces where the human hand needs to hold the grip naturally and accurately. The natural position of the human hand – a triangular shape in two directions – was the main principle in the design of the ERGOPLUS handle from start to finish.

Bending support
ERGOPLUS provides two different ergonomically designed types of flexion support. one for water-cooled and one for air-cooled models.
The double ball joint used with the water-cooled tweezers makes the movements of the tweezer unlimited and keeps the whole product in perfect balance. The air-cooled torch versions feature a cleverly designed plastic spring-bending bracket. The plastic spring solution supports the cable and with less downward force, we achieved a better balance in the grip.

Ease of use
With new flexible materials and updated bending support, the ERGOPLUS torches are easy and comfortable to handle in any welding situation.
One of the key features in the ergonomic design of the ERGOPLUS is the detachable pistol grip. When welding using the traditional grip, the welders’ shoulder and elbow muscles are under constant stress from the workload. With the pistol grip, the position of the shoulder and elbow is completely different and the muscle force load is 25–64% lower depending on the welding position (EMG-measurements made by an independent specialist company – Myontec). The pistol grip is designed to be easily detached with a click and no tools are required. Due to its small size, the gun handle can easily be carried in the welder’s pocket. The pistol grip is included in each standard sales package of the torch.

Technology
ERGOPLUS has a sealed microswitch. It is more reliable than the mechanical alternative that has an open contact exposed to dirt, dust and moisture. The micro switch has IP67 protection, a much higher standard than other electrical components in welding systems, ensuring a long life of reliable use.
The low temperature of the head is also an important part of the soldering iron. Both ERGOPLUS air-cooled and water-cooled heads are now cooler than ever. With a cooler structure, the consumption rate of consumables is reduced. In continuous 350A ERGOPLUS 500 welding, contact tip heat does not exceed 170 C° – At least 30% cooler than previous water-cooled lenses.
